Here is why I believe a coordinator is necessary for your wedding. From intimate weddings of thirty to large events of over 200, a planner is the one who will keep your event smooth and make sure you don’t miss a thing.
- Setup, decorate and breakdown – Instead of hustling to do all these things and still get ready, let your coordinator be the one to handle this and you enjoy your wedding day. Do you envision a grand exit with sparklers or bubbles? Do you have a vintage car picking you up to whisk you off to your honeymoon? Well make sure you’ve got a coordinator there to breakdown or else you’re walking back in to clean up. And that is simply no fun!
- Vendors and venues - Are you not sure what questions to ask during the selection process? Bring your coordinator along or call them and ask for advice. They will think of things that might not necessarily pop in your brain at first. Example-You want an all outdoor wedding venue- great! Are there bathrooms nearby? Trash cans near or are you providing them? Talk to your coordinator and get their insight. You’ll be grateful you did.
- Deliveries- Instead of rushing out to meet vendors halfway thru makeup and hair let your coordinator do that for you. They will assist in getting your vendors to the right location and make sure what you asked for is properly done. This saves time when trying to enjoy your day with your bridal party. Don’t take for granted the moments you spend with your parents, siblings and friends before you walk down the aisle. It seems pretty straight forward but it’s a huge help to have your coordinator take over this part.
- Timeline – If you need help putting together the timeline, your coordinator can help, and when the day arrives, it is the coordinator who will keep it on track. Things can change every hour in a wedding. So many variables come into play on the day that your coordinator needs to adjust and keep the ball rolling. This is important because having a coordinator means you aren’t being taken away to solve a problem or adjust the timeline, you simply get to sit back and enjoy your day.
Happy wedding planning!
